2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Official Image Revealed, Launching Soon.
The brand has officially confirmed that Mahindra's new Z101 SUV will make its global debut on June 27. The testing of Mahindra New Scorpio-N has been going on for a long time.
Mahindra has announced that its upcoming Z101 SUV, which was earlier being called the new generation Scorpio, will be named Mahindra Scorpio-N. The global debut for the new Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV will take place on June 27 and the price announcement is likely to happen after that.
The new Scorpio-N will be positioned above the current Scorpio and slightly below the popular XUV700. Some variants of the new Scorpio-N may overlap the top trims of the existing Scorpio and the lower to mid-variants of the XUV700.
Design of Mahindra Scorpio-N
The new Scorpio-N gets an all-new design that looks like the new generation of the Scorpio. However, there are many design details on the new Scorpio-N which are similar to the original SUV.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Cabin & Features
The interiors of the Scorpio-N will be quite luxurious. While the SUV will get a large touchscreen centerstage on the dashboard, the unit will not be as large as seen on the XUV700. The higher variants will come with a digital instrument cluster. The switchgear will be shared with some of the new Mahindra models such as the Marazzo, XUV700 and Thar.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Engine, Gearbox, 4WD Option
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will have more powerful motors. The petrol variant is expected to come with a 2.0L turbo mStallion unit and the diesel model with a 2.2L mHawk unit. These are already present on the XUV700 and Thar. The power output of the Scorpio is expected to be similar to that of the Thar. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, with off-road driving mode likely to offer four-wheel drive on some variants.
Mahindra Scorpio-N will compete with these cars
After launch, Mahindra Scorpio-N will compete with Tata Harrier, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
As Mahindra has started releasing the teasers of its upcoming SUV, more details about the Scorpio-N are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
